This Polydrop camper trailer looks like a perfect companion for the Tesla Cybertruck

Polydrops, an electric camper trailer business, introduces the P17, a redesign of its initial concept. This time, inventors Kyunghyun Lew and Jieun Cha concentrated on including sufficient insulation into the design, which is a shockingly absent aspect in most trailers. With plenty of adaptable storage space, the P17 intends to reinvent camping in the twenty-first century by providing 'unrivaled comfort in every weather situation.'

The basic concept of the teardrop camper is not new; it has been around for decades after being built to provide a smaller and less expensive camper trailer that can be hauled by a wide range of vehicles due to its low weight.

The Polydrop appears to have a geometric design similar to the Tesla Cybertruck. In that context, the Polydrop's designers, Kyung-Hyun and Jieun, finished their concept and built a prototype in 2017 and took it on a road trip, two years before the Cybertruck was released. So this isn't a mere imitation.

The Polydrop is a simple camping trailer in the shape of a teardrop. The main cabin contains a bed with a 48-by-75-inch mattress and storage drawers above the foot area. The trailer features a kitchenette in the back. There is solar power and insulated walls that allow for four-season operation. With a maximum weight of 1,150 pounds, the Polydrop may be towed by a wide range of non-trucks.

The Polydrops P17, in particular, has structural heat management and insulation with an R-41 value. As a consequence, every thermal bridge is removed, reducing energy loss and resulting in the ideal camping machine. In addition, it comes with an industry-leading LiFePO4 battery, a 1000W pure sine wave inverter, and an optional 130W solar panel.

Polydrop has four trim options. The sleeping area, drawers, cupboards, and space for a cooler are all included in the Spartan K-17 base model ($14,495). The K-19 ($15,495) adds a movable metal base. The K-20 ($17,995) completes the camping kitchen with a Dometic fridge/freezer, a two-burner stove, and a sink. It also has a complete HVAC system.
