The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV debuts with 320 miles of range and 557 horsepower - here's everything you need to know

After being announced at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show, the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV is finally available. Chevy promises front, rear, and all-wheel-drive variants are on the way, and the company is even developing a police-specific model. The range can be up to 320 miles (515 kilometers).

Chevy has not yet released specifications for all trim levels. The top-of-the-line Blazer EV SS has 557 horsepower (415 kilowatts) and torque of 648 pound-feet (879 Newton-meters). The vehicle features a Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode that allows the sporty EV to reach 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in less than four seconds.

When plugged into a level 2 AC outlet, the charging system can support up to 11.5 kW, or 190 kW when using a DC fast charger.

The Blazer EV will be available in one of four trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, RS, and SS. The exterior of the LT grades is monochromatic, and 19-inch wheels are standard. The RS has a black grille and trim, as well as 21-inch wheels. The black roof and 22-inch wheels are standard on the SS.

The RS and SS also have LED lights that emit a special flourish and illuminate the Chevy emblem when the driver approaches or walks away. When the vehicle is plugged in, the lamps illuminate sequentially to show the state of charge.

The Blazer EV has a large infotainment screen in the center of the dashboard that measures 17.7 inches diagonally. The digital instrument cluster also has an 11-inch display. The Super Cruise advanced driving assistance system from General Motors is an option.

In the cabin, there is no start button. Instead, the vehicle detects the key, and the driver only needs to press the brake pedal to start the Blazer EV.

The cabins of the RS and SS grades have even more features. The RS has blue and red contrasting stitching, while the SS has Adrenaline Red and Argon Orange trim. These models also feature a flat-bottom steering wheel and HVAC vents designed to resemble turbines. The front seats are heated and ventilated.

The Chevy Safety Assist suite of technology is standard on the Blazer EV. Automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, and smart headlights are all included. Park assist and reverse automatic braking are also options.

The Blazer EV 2LT and RS will go on sale in summer 2023, with estimated prices of $47,595 and $51,995, respectively. The SS will be available later that year for $65,995. The 1LT will be added to the lineup in the first quarter of 2024 for a projected price of $44,995.
