Santa Cruz Revamped: Rugged Looks, Tech-Packed Interior (Will it dethrone the Hilux in Nigeria?)

Hyundai just revamped their Santa Cruz pickup, and it's looking more rugged than ever. Think "boxy LED lights" and a new "underbody protection" grill. This refresh is gunning for the top spot, currently held by the ever-popular Toyota Hilux.

The 2025 Santa Cruz boasts not just a tougher exterior, but a completely redesigned interior. Dual curved 12.3-inch displays dominate the dash, while separate HVAC controls ensure everyone stays comfortable. Techies will love the standard wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, along with the fancy new fingerprint reader for Digital Key 2.

Speaking of power, the Santa Cruz offers two gas engine options. The base 2.5L puts out 191 horsepower, while the turbocharged version packs a punch with 281 horsepower. Towing capacity is also impressive, ranging from 3,500 pounds to 5,000 pounds depending on the engine. The XRT model gets an extra boost with surround-view monitors for those tricky parking situations.

The revamped Santa Cruz is ready to take on Nigeria's roads, with a bolder look, tech-filled interior, and the power to handle whatever you throw at it. Will it dethrone the Hilux? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: the competition is heating up.
