Porsche tuner Singer designs a 930-inspired Turbo Study with added sports focus

Porsche tuner from California Singer Vehicle Design unveiled the new Turbo Study in February, which was inspired by the Porsche 930, i.e. the first 911 Turbo manufactured from 1975 until 1989.

Singer has now presented one of the first customer models, a vehicle that the business characterizes as having an increased sporting focus.

The Turbo Study, like earlier Singer creations, is based on the 964-generation 911 manufactured from 1989 to 1994, but with retro design (note the broad body and whale tail rear spoiler?) and several technical modifications.

The engine is a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-6 with air cooling and an air-to-water intercooler. Power has been raised to 510 horsepower from 450 hp in the basic Turbo Study to match the car's sporting emphasis.

A center-mounted fuel filler, lowered suspension, carbon-ceramic brake rotors, and carbon-fiber bucket seats were also ordered by the buyer. In addition, a rear cross brace was installed. The body, like all Turbo Study models, is composed of carbon fiber.

The outside is Turbo Racing White with a green stripe, and the interior is lined with an unique houndstooth pattern also highlighted with green

Following the initial Singer-tuned 911 (now termed Classic Study), the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study (DLS), which integrated Formula 1 knowledge from Williams Advanced Engineering, and the crazy All-Terrain Competition Study (ACS), the Turbo Study is Singer's fourth model.

Singer will unveil the automobile at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which takes place in the United Kingdom from June 23 to June 26.
