Ferrari plans to go electric by 2026

The Italian luxury automobile manufacturer anticipates that by 2026, 60 percent of its manufacturing will be electric or hybrid cars, with this figure rising to 80 percent by 2030.

During the presentation of the new 2022-2026 strategic plan to investors at the group's historic headquarters in Maranello, northern Italy, Ferrari executive chairman Benedetto Vigna stated that "electrification is a means to boost the performance" of Ferrari automobiles.

The manager also affirmed that Ferrari's first all-electric vehicle will be unveiled in 2025, as previously scheduled.

Enrico Galliera, Ferrari's commercial director, claimed in an interview with AFP that "the first all-electric car from Ferrari will be 100 percent sporty," without providing any more technical information.
