Ferrari SP48 Unica makes debut with a F8 Tributo one-of-a-kind design without a rear window

Following the Omologata and BR20, Ferrari's newest one-of-a-kind design boasts a V8 engine. The SP48 Unica is based on the F8 Tributo, although you wouldn't know it from the bodywork, which has been completely modified. A long-time client who was engaged in the development commissioned the one-of-a-kind design. The buyer had a voice in every step of the process, according to The Prancing Horse.

Procedural-parametric modeling and 3D prototyping techniques were used to create the all-new front fascia. We perceive some Roma influences since the grille on the SP48 Unica has a similar three-dimensional look.

This provides the supercar a fresh frontal look when compared to the F8 Tributo, as well as the 488 and 458 that came before it.

After removing the glass and replacing the four spherical taillights with narrow LED bars that also give off a Roma feel, the rear is considerably sleeker than before. Aside from a revised wheel design, the SP48 Unica sports redesigned side air intakes that are placed significantly lower on the profile. It also makes better use of black surfaces on the side skirts.

While no inside photographs have been provided, the adjacent official video demonstrates that the cabin is virtually unchanged from the F8 Tributo. Aside from the missing rear window, the one-of-a-kind design boldly displays the "SP48 Unica" insignia on the passenger side of the dashboard. Furthermore, the seats are made of laser-perforated Alcantara, which has also been used in other sections of the otherwise familiar interior.

Ferrari hasn't said anything about the mechanical alterations, so the one-off vehicle will most likely be powered by the F8 Tributo's 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8. It produces 710 horsepower and 770 Newton-meters (568 pound-feet) of torque in this automobile, propelling the Italian stallion to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds. It accelerates from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 7.8 seconds and tops out at 211 mph (340 km/h).

There's no indication on pricing, but the SP48 Unica must have cost a lot more than the $280,000 F8 Tributo.
